I am a self-motivated and innovative problem solver with strong abilities to multitask and view systems or issues from a wide perspective. I am process oriented, attentive to detail, and dedicated to performing above expectations. I have worked in a variety of industries and roles and have demonstrated an ability to learn and adapt to new challenges quickly. I have worked across industries with both technical and non-technical colleagues to engineer solutions to complex problems while delivering high quality customer service.

I am currently seeking new challenges and opportunities for professional growth. I am ideally suited for a team that works on a variety of tasks and relies on collaboration to develop solutions to complex issues. I have extensive experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment.   • Administered and maintained corporate infrastructure: Windows client-server services, Network, Storage, Virtualized Server environment, Security, Microsoft 365 Cloud Services, VOIP Telephone System, Backup and Disaster Recovery Systems, Printing and Scanning, etc.
  • Engineered and implemented a multiple year project to modernize network and virtualized server infrastructure.
  • Developed and documented procedures in areas such as: equipment preparation and deployment, technical support and troubleshooting, user administration, etc.
  • Transformed repetitive and laborious tasks through automation and scripting, primarily using PowerShell.
  • Authored internal white papers on topics such as: Network Resiliency, Core Infrastructure Modernization, Security Best Practices, Cloud Services Adoption, etc.

Desktop Engineer – January, 2014 to August, 2017
Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC, Boston, MA – From September, 2016 to August, 2017 I worked remotely from my home office (Scotland) as a member of the company’s London office.

  • Troubleshot, tested, and delivered solutions to a variety of information technology issues in a complex, enterprise level environment across our global locations.
  • Led implementation and change projects for several critical or important priority level applications including MDM (mobile device) management, printer/scanner management, and workstation backup and recovery.
  • Participated in large-scale disaster recovery training and simulation while leading component recovery related to applications within my project scopes, including critical workstation recovery from backup.
  • Managed mobile device infrastructure, security, deployment, vendor relationships, and training for 700 employees.
  • Coordinated staffing action changes, documentation, and compliance with respect to all IT, HR, and Investment related regulations.
  • Reduced mobile hardware and service costs through usage analysis and vendor negotiations.
